The Business Challenge

Turn2us needed a scalable, user-friendly, and accessible digital platform to support increasing traffic and provide essential financial tools and information efficiently.As a leading UK charity supporting people in financial hardship, Turn2us faced a growing demand for its services. However, its existing digital infrastructure struggled to accommodate high traffic, especially during peak times. The platform was not optimized for accessibility, making it difficult for users—many of whom were in urgent need of financial assistance—to navigate and access key resources such as the Benefits Calculator and Grant Search tools. To continue serving its audience effectively, Turn2us required a complete digital transformation that prioritized performance, accessibility, and ease of use.

The Diagnosis

Turn2us had an outdated digital infrastructure hindered its ability to support rising traffic, deliver accessible content, and provide a seamless user experience. The existing website was not designed to handle the growing influx of users, leading to slow performance and periods of instability during high demand. Additionally, the site’s complex content management system made updates challenging, preventing the charity from quickly adapting to users' needs. To meet accessibility and inclusivity standards, a complete overhaul was needed—one that ensured stability, improved navigation, and made critical financial tools more effective and user-friendly.

The Solution

We built a scalable, mobile-responsive website using the Kentico platform, ensuring AA-level accessibility and optimizing key financial assistance tools through continuous user feedback. To future-proof Turn2us’ digital presence, we developed a new website with a focus on accessibility, performance, and ease of navigation. Built on the Kentico platform, the site met AA-level accessibility standards, ensuring inclusivity for all users.With nearly 2,000 pages of content, we streamlined site management, allowing editors to update information effortlessly. Navigation was improved to make it easier for users to find the support they needed.Key tools such as the Benefits Calculator and Grant Search were continuously refined through user testing and feedback, ensuring they provided accurate and useful financial assistance. The new platform was also designed to handle high traffic volumes, allowing Turn2us to remain fully operational during peak periods of financial uncertainty. Award-winning recognition – Named Kentico Site of the Year 2023 for its innovative and accessible digital transformation.
